What is Maloum?
Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated
What is Maloum? It is a platform for adult content where creators sell subscriptions, paid content in chat, tips and physical products to their fans. The company behind it is neolime GmbH, based in Vienna, which has traded under the Maloum name since 2023. By its own account the platform was built for the German-speaking market from day one, and German is the contract language.
For this overview we read the creator terms (the version dated 9 July 2026), the help centre, the legal notice and the operator’s website. Last checked: 1 October 2026. Anything that only Maloum says about itself, or that comes from the press, is labelled as such.
What kind of platform is Maloum?
An adult subscription service with chat and a shop. In principle it compares to OnlyFans, except that it runs in German and under Austrian law. In its help centre Maloum describes itself as a place where adults discover creators and find content that suits their interests.
Creators publish two kinds of posts there: public ones that anyone can see for free, and private ones that only unlock with a paid subscription. According to Maloum’s home page, the money comes from subscriptions, tips and shop purchases. The help centre adds paid content in chat, paid mass messages and a referral programme. How all of this fits together in daily use is covered in our guide to how Maloum works.
Who is behind Maloum?
The operator is neolime GmbH, Kolonitzgasse 2/54, 1030 Vienna, entered in the Austrian company register (Firmenbuch) under FN 574724 h at the Commercial Court of Vienna. Maloum’s legal notice names three managing directors: Jonas Aspetzberger, Florian Gruber and Tobias Mittendorfer.
The neolime website lists the same three people as co-founders. The company is older than the brand: the register service North Data shows it was entered on 11 February 2022. Fans who pay by card see the company name neolime GmbH on their statement rather than the platform’s name, which the help centre confirms.
When did Maloum launch, and who funded it?
In 2023. According to North Data the word mark was published on 21 March 2023, and on 3 April 2023 Trending Topics reported that neolime was now operating under the Maloum brand.
The same article covered the funding: €750,000 in pre-seed money from Austrian business angels, among them Christiane Holzinger, Johannes Braith and Gernot Singer. We found no later round in any source. That does not prove there was none, only that none has been made public.
What experience does the team bring?
Maloum says its team comes from the German-speaking adult industry and previously built feeterie.com, which Maloum calls the largest foot fetish platform in the DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland). Trending Topics also names the earlier portals Pixerie and Buxerie. The size claim about feeterie is Maloum’s own, and we could not check it.

Who is Maloum built for, and in which languages?
For creators and fans in German-speaking countries. Maloum writes that it was founded in Vienna and designed for this market from the beginning.
That shows in many places. The website comes in German and English, the help centre only in German, and under the contract only the German version of the terms is binding; translations are for information only. On its OnlyFans comparison page Maloum promises support in German and English. Maloum does not publish which countries creators may join from; the same page only says it supports creators from across Europe and beyond. Among the country pages on maloum.com there are pages for Germany and Austria, but none for Switzerland.
How big is Maloum?
Solid numbers are hard to find. On its home page Maloum says more than 50,000 creators use it; no date is attached, and we read the claim on 1 October 2026.
Maloum does not publish fan numbers, revenue or the totals it has paid out. Without them there is nothing to base an earnings forecast on. We would rather work from the terms than from advertising claims, as explained in making money on Maloum.
How is Maloum different from OnlyFans?
The headline split is the same, the small print differs. Both keep 20%, but Maloum calculates your 80% from the net price and also charges fans a 15% service fee that stays entirely with Maloum.
Other differences show up in daily use: a discovery feature and a public top 100 ranking, a shop for physical products in which Maloum itself is the seller, and no app in the app stores. Neither the terms nor the help centre mention livestreams. The figures side by side are in Maloum vs OnlyFans, and the service fee maths in Maloum fees.
What does this mean for you as a creator?
If your audience speaks German, Maloum gives you fans in your language and a contract under Austrian law. In return you have to act as a business owner (Unternehmer) and verify your identity; the steps are in becoming a Maloum creator.
Since the version of 9 July 2026, the terms explicitly allow third parties such as agencies or chatters to help you run the account. You stay in control and must disclose in chat that other people may be writing too. How we work as a Maloum agency under these rules is set out on our home page.
