How to make money on Maloum

Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated

You can make money on Maloum through subscriptions, paid content in chat, mass messages, tips, the shop and referrals. Maloum does not publish what creators typically earn there; the help centre only says that a growing number of creators make several thousand euros a month. Your share, on the other hand, is fixed: by default you keep 80 cents of every euro of your net price.

This article reflects the position on 1 October 2026 and is based on Maloum’s help centre and the creator terms of 9 July 2026. We make no earnings forecast, because the data for one does not exist and because nobody can honestly promise you a figure.

How much money can you make on Maloum?

There is no reliable number. Maloum publishes no fan counts, no revenue and no totals paid out to creators.

Maloum itself makes two statements. The help centre says more and more creators earn several thousand euros a month and that their number keeps rising, without saying how many. The home page advertises more than 50,000 creators. How the money is spread across that many accounts is unknown. So plan with your own numbers rather than with a platform average that nobody has seen.

What decides your earnings on Maloum?

In the end it comes down to how many fans pay and how much each of them spends per month. Those two numbers respond to different levers.

Your subscriber count grows mostly through visitors you bring from outside. Maloum does have a discovery feature and a public top 100 ranking, yet its own help centre says active promotion is still needed and names Instagram, TikTok, X, Reddit and YouTube. Maloum builds the ranking from engagement, earnings and content quality. How to build reach without breaking the rules is explained in growing your fan base on Maloum.

What a single fan spends beyond the subscription is decided in chat. That is where you sell individually priced content, send mass messages with paid content and take tips. Subscribers can also pay extra for especially exclusive content. Custom requests are agreed in chat and paid through the tip function. If someone helps you with this, the contract requires you to disclose it in the chat; our approach is shown on the chat management page.

Two smaller sources come on top. In the shop you sell physical products, which Maloum sells in its own name and which fall under the same commission rules. Through the Maloum referral programme, according to the help centre, you get 5% of the earnings of creators you refer for six months. Maloum pays this in addition, so nothing is taken from the creators you refer.

Which prices does Maloum recommend?

Subscriptions have a €5 minimum, and according to the help centre successful creators recommend €5 to €15 a month. For shop items Maloum gives its own guide prices, such as €10 to €40 for socks and €25 to €150 for shoes.

Before you set your subscription price, remember one rule: anyone who has already subscribed keeps paying the price they signed up at. If you raise it later, the new price applies only to new fans. A very cheap start therefore ties your first subscribers to that price for good.

The calculation below shows how price and share relate at the three price points in Maloum’s recommendation.

Subscription price (net)Fan pays net incl. 15% service feeYour share (80%)Active subscriptions for a €1,000 monthly share
€5.00€5.75€4.00250
€10.00€11.50€8.00125
€15.00€17.25€12.0084

The table is our own calculation under §15 of the contract, leaving out VAT, chat sales and cancellations. It only shows how price and share relate and is not a forecast.

Which deductions should you plan for?

Maloum’s 20% commission, your own taxes and, if you work with an agency, its share. Fans pay the 15% service fee on top, so it does not come out of your share.

The details are in Maloum fees and Maloum taxes. One point for the first weeks: if your claims for a month stay under €30.00, the contract says Maloum carries them over to the following month. A slow month may therefore produce no transfer at all.

Can you earn on other platforms at the same time?

Yes, but Maloum draws a firm line. On Maloum you may not send fans to other platforms by link, username or contact details, and you may not advertise competitors.

Maloum’s own OnlyFans comparison page sounds more relaxed and invites the two to promote each other. The contract forbids it, though, and the contract is what counts. Our reading: promote Maloum from social media and other platforms, but never send anyone away from Maloum. What separates the two platforms is covered in Maloum vs OnlyFans.

What do our own numbers show?

They show what the OnlyFans accounts we manage achieve, so they are not Maloum results. Since we started in 2019 we have worked with more than 400 creators, whose combined revenue is over $35M.

A typical account we manage makes $20K to $55K a month, and the strongest earn between $100K and more than $300K. All of these figures come from OnlyFans accounts and are in US dollars, while Maloum prices in euros and has its own fees. We cite them for context and not as a promise for Maloum. On Maloum we work on the same levers: pricing, chat and visitors from outside. The four case studies, also OnlyFans accounts, are on our results page.
