Maloum management by an agency
Last updated
Maloum management, the way we do it, means a team plans and maintains everything on your profile that earns money (subscription price, private posts, paid content in chat, mass messages and the shop) and sends you the numbers every week. You supply the content and approve the prices. Maloum has explicitly allowed this kind of support since 9 July 2026, provided it runs under your control.
What does Maloum management include?
Every revenue stream Maloum offers, plus planning and reporting. The table shows how Maloum handles each one and which part of it we take over.
| Revenue stream | How Maloum handles it | Our part |
|---|---|---|
| Subscription | Monthly price, €5 minimum, usually runs 30 days | Choosing the starting price, timing increases |
| Private posts | Visible only with a paid subscription | Posting plan and order |
| Paid chat content | Photos or videos with their own price, unlocked after payment | Offers inside ongoing conversations |
| Mass messages | Paid messages sent to many fans at once | Recipients, timing, price |
| Tips | Possible at any time in chat, including for custom requests | Arrangements with fans |
| Shop | Physical products, with Maloum as the seller | Product pages, prices, shipping routine |
How do we set the subscription price?
With the next few months in view. The minimum is €5, and according to the help centre, successful creators recommend €5 to €15. Maloum publishes no maximum; the terms only refer to a price range that Maloum sets for everyone.
One rule tends to get missed: fans keep paying the price they subscribed at. A price rise only affects new subscribers. If you launch very cheap, every early fan keeps that price for as long as they stay. We therefore pick an entry price that will still hold up a year from now and make up the difference with private content. Under the fan terms (AGB) a subscription normally runs for one month, though you may set a different term.
How do you sell extras to existing subscribers?
With content that costs extra even when someone already subscribes. Maloum’s help centre says so itself: particularly exclusive content may have to be bought separately despite an active subscription, for example through the chat.
There are two tools for this. One is a single paid message with photos or videos at a price you choose freely; the other is a mass message to many fans at once. According to Maloum, fans pay for custom requests through the tip function in chat. Our team plans who receives which message at what price, and the page on chat management for Maloum explains how those conversations run.
Is the Maloum shop worth it?
For some creators, once the routine works. Maloum sells physical products in its own name and for its own account, but you do the shipping. Nothing on the packaging may reveal your identity or address; Maloum’s address in Vienna appears as the sender. Maloum checks every product by hand, shop photos must not be explicit, and some items are turned down for hygiene reasons. As a guide, the help centre suggests €10 to €40 for socks. More in the guide to selling items on Maloum.
Do Discovery and the top 100 list bring in new fans?
Some, though you cannot plan on it. Maloum has a Discovery feature but does not explain how it ranks profiles. For the public top 100 ranking, the terms name engagement, revenue and content quality as criteria, and Maloum may change or scrap the list without notice.
So we post publicly on a steady schedule and without explicit nudity, which Maloum requires for public posts. Every post is reviewed before it goes live, according to Maloum usually within a few minutes. Most new visitors still come from promotion outside Maloum.
When does revenue turn into a payout?
Under the contract, your claim arises within three days of a fan’s payment coming in. Maloum pays it by the end of the following calendar month at the latest, by credit note to your IBAN; claims below €30.00 in a month carry over to the next one. The help centre, on the other hand, talks of transfers on the first of every month and no payout thresholds. We plan with the contract. You can see incoming payments and statements in your account at any time, and we hold our report up against them. Details are on the page about Maloum payouts.
What do you need to settle before you start?
Your status as a business owner (Unternehmer). Maloum only accepts creators who are business owners within the meaning of the Austrian Commercial Code (Unternehmensgesetzbuch) and asks for proof, such as a UID number (VAT identification number). The terms expressly allow for the small business scheme (Kleinunternehmerregelung). Maloum does not say anywhere whether registering a trade in Germany (Gewerbeanmeldung) is enough.
We do not give tax advice. Questions like these belong with a tax adviser (Steuerberater), and our guide to taxes and business registration on Maloum gives a first overview. After that, Maloum checks your ID and your details. Switching to a creator account is final and cannot be reversed.
We read every rule on this page on 1 October 2026 in Maloum’s creator terms (version of 9 July 2026), the fan terms and the help centre. What management costs is on our pricing page.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to get started?
You hear back from a real person on our team within 24 to 48 hours of applying. If you already have a Maloum account, work begins as soon as the agreement is signed and access is arranged. A brand-new account takes longer, since Maloum verifies your ID through Ondato, checks your proof of business status and allows itself up to two weeks to approve you. We spend that wait getting prices, your first posts and your promotion channels ready.
What do I still decide for myself?
Anything that touches you as a person, plus every number before it goes live. You choose what content you shoot, which subjects are off the table in chat and how deep any discount may go. We propose prices for the subscription, paid messages and the shop, and nothing goes live until you sign off. Maloum also makes you legally responsible for the account, so our team works to your instructions. And whether we carry on working together is your call too.
What reports will I get?
You get a written report every week. Which numbers it covers is something we settle with you at the start, such as earnings broken down into subscriptions, chat sales and shop orders, or how your subscriber base is moving. You can verify all of it whenever you like in your own Maloum account and against the credit notes Maloum issues with each payout. If the figures disagree, we resolve it before we send our invoice.
