Maloum payouts

Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated

Maloum payouts are made by credit note (Gutschrift) to the bank account you save in your profile with an IBAN. Under the creator contract, Maloum transfers the money by the end of the following month at the latest, and balances under €30.00 carry over to the next month. The help centre instead talks about the first of every month and no minimum. Maloum does not name the currency anywhere.

We put both versions side by side, because both are public and they disagree. We read the creator terms (version of 9 July 2026) and the help centre article on payouts, last changed on 22 April 2025. Last checked: 1 October 2026.

When does Maloum pay out?

Under the contract, by the end of the calendar month after the one in which your claim arises, at the latest. The help centre names a fixed day: transfers go out on the first of each month and usually arrive one to two working days later, depending on country and bank.

Under §15.5, your claim arises within three days of the fan’s payment actually coming in. Incoming payments and statements are visible in your account. Going by the contract, a claim from September is therefore paid by the end of October at the latest, possibly sooner.

The date has changed before. Archived versions of the contract from February 2025 to April 2026 still named the 5th of each month as the fixed payout day. We plan with the current contract rule, because it is the document you agree to and because the later deadline is the safer assumption.

Is there a minimum for Maloum payouts?

Under the contract, yes: if your claims for a month come to less than €30.00, they are carried forward into the next month until the total is above that. The help centre, on the other hand, says there are no payout limits and no hidden fees.

The OnlyFans comparison page goes further still and promises payouts from the very first euro earned. The threshold matters most in your first weeks: if you sell only a few subscriptions in month one, expect the money to arrive later. No fee for the transfer itself is published anywhere.

How do the contract and the help centre compare?

They differ on the date and the minimum and agree on the method. Neither states the currency.

Which payout methods does Maloum offer?

Bank transfer only. For payout details Maloum asks for your country, first and last name and IBAN; PayPal, crypto or any other route for creators is not published.

PayPal appears at Maloum only on the fan side. Fans can pay with it, as well as with Apple Pay, credit card and Klarna/SOFORT. Maloum does not list the countries it pays out to; the form simply asks for a country and an IBAN.

What do you need to do before your first payout?

Fill in your payout details completely. According to the help centre, Maloum only transfers money once country, name and IBAN are complete and correct.

So right after approval, check that the name in the form matches the name on your bank account and that the IBAN is right. As long as anything there is missing or wrong, this rule means your money waits. How approval itself works is described in becoming a Maloum creator.

What does credit note mean at Maloum?

Maloum draws up the statement of your earnings itself, instead of you sending Maloum an invoice. You accept this arrangement in the contract (§15.7).

For your bookkeeping, keep the statements from your account. Under §15.8 the taxes on your earnings are yours alone to pay. What Maloum regulates on this and what it leaves open is in Maloum taxes, and a short definition of the credit note is in the glossary.

Which currency does Maloum pay out in?

Maloum does not say. The contract gives every amount in euros and the help centre calculates in euros, but there is no explicit rule on the payout currency.

Even a post on Maloum’s own blog concedes that it cannot claim Maloum pays out only in euros. If your bank account is not in euros, ask support before you start how the conversion is handled.

When can Maloum hold back money?

In three cases that the contract names explicitly. If Maloum terminates for good cause, any claims not yet settled and due lapse immediately (§5.8).

Maloum can withhold or claw back earnings that come from deliberate or grossly contract-breaking conduct (§5.9). It may also set its own claims against you off against your unpaid balance first (§9.2), for example the cost of a chargeback you caused. No routine holding period beyond the three days is published. Either side can end the contract at any time by email, with four weeks’ notice to the end of a month.

Can Maloum pay an agency instead of you?

Yes, if you expressly agree (§15.10). You then have to make sure the agency follows the terms, and Maloum accepts no liability for disputes over the payout.

We deliberately do it differently, and we would tell you to insist on the same with any agency: Maloum pays you directly, and we invoice our commission afterwards. That way you see every euro first, and nobody sits on your money between you and the platform. If payouts run through an agency and a dispute starts, you are left to sort it out with that agency alone. What to look for in a contract is covered in the Maloum agency contract guide, and what agencies usually charge in our overview of agency commission. How much Maloum keeps before any of this is explained in Maloum fees.
