How much do Maloum agencies take?

Last updated

How much do Maloum agencies take? None of the agencies that mention Maloum on their websites says, which we checked on 1 October 2026 for our market study. The only public figures are estimates on advice sites, from 20%–30% up to 50%–70% of revenue. We charge 30%–60% ourselves, depending on the scope of the work, and the rate is in the written offer before you sign.

How much do Maloum agencies take in commission?

Nobody knows for certain, because no agency with a Maloum connection publishes its rate. What you find online are claims about the market in general, mostly with OnlyFans agencies in mind.

All pages read on 1 October 2026. These ranges are of limited help with a real offer, because 30% can cost you more than 40% if it is charged on a bigger number. How we found and weighed the sources is in our study of Maloum agencies.

What is the commission charged on?

On Maloum every sale produces three different amounts, and an agency can apply its percentage to any of them. Under Maloum’s creator terms (as of 9 July 2026), you set a net price, Maloum adds a 15% service fee and VAT for the fan, and pays you 80% of your net price.

Here is our calculation for a €10 price and an agency charging 30%. We leave VAT out, because Maloum does not publish which rate it applies.

Basis of the commissionAmount30% for the agencyLeft for you out of your €8.00
What the fan pays net (price plus service fee)€11.50€3.45€4.55
Your net price, which Maloum calls »Creatorumsatz« (creator revenue)€10.00€3.00€5.00
What Maloum actually pays you€8.00€2.40€5.60

The first and last rows are €1.05 apart on every sale. At 100 such sales a month that comes to €105, with the same percentage. So always ask which row the rate refers to, and have exactly that row written into the contract. Ask about tips and shop sales too: Maloum applies the same share to every kind of revenue, but an agency does not have to. What goes into Maloum’s own 20% is explained in the article on Maloum fees.

Why should Maloum pay you rather than the agency?

Because then you see every euro yourself before anyone takes a share. Since 9 July 2026, Maloum has expressly allowed payments to go to third parties such as agencies or managers, if you consent (section 15.10 of the creator terms). In the same paragraph Maloum rules out any liability for disputes over those payouts.

If the money passes through the agency, all you know is the amount it forwards to you. If the partnership ends in a dispute, your revenue sits with the agency, and Maloum will not step in. Even so, one of the advice sites from our study describes payment through the agency as the normal arrangement.

We keep to the standard route. Maloum pays you by credit note to the IBAN in your account, and we invoice you for our commission afterwards. When Maloum pays, and why the contract and the help centre give different dates, is covered in the guide to Maloum payouts.

Which rate fits which scope?

That depends on how much the agency takes off your plate. A rate at the lower end suits light management: pricing, a posting plan, reporting. With us, the rate only moves towards 60% when a team covers the chat around the clock and also brings in fans from outside Maloum.

Always work it out from the start of the chain. Maloum keeps 20% of your net price before any agency sees a cent. If the agency then takes 60% of your payout, which is €4.80, you are left with €3.20 out of a €10 net price.

Look out for costs beyond the percentage as well. Averro Management, a provider with its own guide to agency costs, warns there about »Setup-Gebühren (€500-2.000)« (setup fees of €500 to €2,000) at other agencies. We charge no setup fee, no monthly flat fee, no content package and no paid training. Our full terms are on the page about our pricing, and the guide to the Maloum agency contract shows which clauses to read besides the rate.

Frequently asked questions

What is a fair commission for a Maloum agency?

A fair rate fits the work the agency actually takes over, and its base is fixed on paper. Advice sites aimed at German-speaking creators mention 10%–20% for light support and 30%–50% for full management, while no agency has published a rate for Maloum specifically. Ours runs from 30%–60%; its top end, above those figures, is for full scope only. If an offer comes in higher, or the agency wants money before you earn, have it spell out which extra service justifies the price and get a second quote to compare.

Can Maloum pay my earnings straight to an agency?

Yes, if you give explicit consent. Maloum’s creator terms as of 9 July 2026 permit payments to agencies or managers, yet they put the burden on you to make sure those people respect Maloum’s rules. Should a dispute over the money arise, Maloum carries no liability. For that reason we never have Maloum transfer anything to us: your earnings land on your own IBAN, and our invoice comes only after that.
