Maloum Agency Study 2026

Last updated

For this Maloum agency study we went through every website we could find on agency work for Maloum, on 1 October 2026. That left 10 sources we could verify, and only 3 of them are agencies. None of those agencies names a commission rate of its own. The only figures tied to Maloum are two market claims from guide sites: 20%–30% and 50%–70% of revenue.

What does the Maloum agency study show?

The market is small, and software vendors mention Maloum more often than agencies do. Search for an agency to run a Maloum account and you mostly land on CRM programs, chat tools and brokers.

We report warning signs as counts only and do not pin them on any provider:

  • 3 sources advertise a revenue or growth guarantee, or repeat such a guarantee without checking it.
  • 1 source presents it as normal that the agency receives the creator’s earnings.
  • 1 source sells scrapers along with automated comments and messages. In § 8.2.5 of its creator terms, Maloum bans any automated access by external programs.
  • 3 sources claim that Maloum pays the VAT out of its 20%. The contract calculates your share from the net price, without tax and without the service fee, as our article on Maloum fees explains.

How did we run the study?

With fixed search queries, one fetch of every result, and rules set in advance for what counts as a published rate. Anyone who repeats the steps should reach the same findings, as long as the pages have not changed.

  1. Search: 17 queries in German and English, among them »Maloum Agentur« (Maloum agency), »Maloum Agentur seriös Erfahrungen Creator betreuen« (Maloum agency, reputable, experiences, managing creators), »Maloum Agentur Österreich OR Wien Creator Agentur Maloum 4based« (Maloum agency, Austria or Vienna, creator agency, 4based) and a search for agencies said to be Maloum partners. The search tool works with a US index.
  2. Fetch: we loaded every page with curl, using Chrome’s browser identifier and the language setting de-DE. For agencies we read the home page, the Maloum page, the FAQ or pricing page and the legal notice. Pages that only show text through JavaScript were also read with a second fetching tool. Domains we could not reach were checked with a DNS lookup over Google’s DNS-over-HTTPS.
  3. Recording: for each source we noted whether it names Maloum, whether it publishes a rate, which services it offers for Maloum, any visible warning signs and its legal notice, each backed by a verbatim quote.
  4. Definitions: only a number or range that a provider gives as its own price counts as a published rate. A line such as »Wir arbeiten mit Umsatzbeteiligung« (we work on a revenue share) with no number does not count. Ranges that a page attributes to the market are listed as market claims.
  5. Yardstick for rule breaches: Maloum’s creator terms as of 9 July 2026. They allow agencies and chatters, require disclosure in the chat, ban handing the account over completely and ban recruiting creators on Maloum for agency services.

Which sources did we analyse?

Ten pages that name Maloum explicitly, plus four German-language agency pages without a Maloum angle, which we use for the price range only. All were read on 1 October 2026.

Five more names came up in search results as a Maloum agency or Maloum tool, but we could not check them. One page returned a 404 error, one refused the connection, one domain had no DNS record, one showed no text without JavaScript, and one domain was parked. We do not count these five.

Because you can only enforce a contract against someone you can find. In Germany § 5 DDG, and in Austria § 5 ECG, require business websites to name their operator and address. We count a legal notice (Impressum) as complete when it gives a person or company and a postal address.

5 of the 10 sources meet that bar. Among the other five, the legal notice was incomplete once, unreadable in the text the server delivered once, and impossible to find twice. In one case the operator details were placeholder text or missing altogether. Our own legal notice names Bunny Agency LLC, its address in Wyoming and its managing director.

What are the limits of the study?

  • We found fewer than ten Maloum agencies with a website of their own, strictly speaking 3 with a working site. To reach ten sources, the table also includes software, a broker and an editorial article, each labelled as such.
  • No agency publishes its own rate for Maloum. Every number on this page is therefore either a market claim from a named source or our own rate, never a measured average.
  • The search index is a US one. Results from google.de, and agencies that only advertise on Instagram, TikTok or Telegram, are under-represented. Several agencies probably offer Maloum work with no website at all.
  • Two pages in the table only load their legal notice in the browser, through JavaScript. Our verdict describes the text the server delivers plus a second fetch. A browser may show more.
  • We read every page on a single day. Agency sites change often, and three pages with a Maloum angle were already offline.
  • We only read public web pages, no contracts. Notice periods, payout routes or exclusivity clauses can work differently in practice from what the marketing says.

Who ran the study, and why does that matter to you?

We did: Bunny Agency. We are an agency ourselves, we compete for the same creators as the providers in the table, and that gives us a stake in the outcome. We left ourselves out of the count. Our rate is 30%–60% of the revenue an account generates, and it is on the page about what we cost. What these figures mean for an offer on your own table is covered on the page about what a Maloum agency charges. This page was edited by Sophia Brecht, founder of Bunny Agency.

Frequently asked questions

How was the agency study carried out?

On 1 October 2026 we ran 17 searches about Maloum agencies, opened every result and read its home page, pricing details and legal notice. Each finding is logged with a word-for-word quote, a link and the date. We counted 10 sources that mention Maloum and added 4 German-language agency pages without that link to round out the price range. Keep in mind while reading that the study comes from an agency that is itself trying to attract creators.
