Is Maloum legit?
Written by Sophia Brecht Published Last updated
Is Maloum legit? As far as anything can be checked, yes. The platform is run by neolime GmbH in Vienna, with a complete legal notice and a company register entry. Creators prove their identity with an official ID through the provider Ondato, and every post is reviewed before it goes live. There are weak spots all the same: Maloum’s own documents contradict each other on payouts and taxes.
On 1 October 2026 we read the legal notice, the creator terms and the fan terms (both dated 9 July 2026), the help centre and a press article from 2023. The verdict at the end is our view as an agency, not legal advice.
Who runs Maloum, and can you check it?
neolime GmbH, Kolonitzgasse 2/54, 1030 Vienna, registered under FN 574724 h at the Commercial Court of Vienna. With that number you can look up the entry in the Austrian company register (Firmenbuch) yourself.
The legal notice follows Austrian law (§5 ECG, §25 MedienG, §14 UGB) and names the managing directors Jonas Aspetzberger, Florian Gruber and Tobias Mittendorfer, along with the VAT ID ATU 77947607. It also lists a youth protection officer under Germany’s Interstate Treaty on the Protection of Minors in the Media (Jugendmedienschutz-Staatsvertrag), who is a lawyer in Berlin, and an external data protection officer at a firm in Münster. Anyone with a complaint therefore has named people to contact.
How does Maloum check creators?
With an official photo ID plus extra checks that the ID really belongs to the person uploading it. Only identified adults may upload content.
According to the help centre the check runs through Ondato and accepts a passport, national ID card or driving licence. If other people appear in your content, Maloum verifies their identity and age too, and every one of them has to agree in writing. Maloum allows itself up to two weeks to accept a new creator. It also publishes a statement under the US law 18 U.S.C. § 2257 on keeping records of age.
What is checked before a post is published?
Every single post. According to the help centre, Maloum’s team reviews it before it becomes visible, usually within a few minutes.
The rules are written plainly. Public posts show no genitals, no nipples and no sexual acts, while private posts may be explicit if everything is legal and consensual. Banned material includes content that shows or approves of violence, incest, extreme BDSM, human trafficking or non-consensual acts, and the ban explicitly covers drawn or computer-generated versions as well. Offering real-life meetings or prostitution is prohibited.
Is Maloum safe for fans?
Payments go through well-known providers such as Apple Pay, PayPal, credit card or Klarna/SOFORT, and card statements show neolime GmbH. Maloum has also tightened its age checks for fans since launch.
In April 2023, Trending Topics wrote that fans only needed an email address and a date of birth showing they were over 18. The current fan terms of 9 July 2026 require age verification before fans can see adult content. We have not tested ourselves how that check works technically.
Are profiles on Maloum fake?
The accounts belong to verified people, because every creator has to prove who they are. People searching for “maloum fake” usually mean something else, though: whether the creator writes her messages herself.
That is where the rules changed in July 2026. Since the version of 9 July 2026, creators may use third parties such as agencies and chatters, and AI as well. In return, deceiving fans about who they are chatting with is forbidden, and the creator must clearly disclose that third parties or AI may be involved in the chat. The fan terms point this out to fans too. Handing an account over to someone else entirely is still banned.
Maloum’s own blog even presents it as a selling point that you never subscribe to an account behind which an agency poses as the creator. That pretence is exactly what the contract now prohibits. How we handle disclosure in chat is described on our chat management page, and the rules on AI in AI on Maloum.
What do Maloum reviews on rating sites say?
We give no star rating here. On 1 October 2026 Maloum’s Trustpilot profile could only be read by roundabout routes and with contradictory results, and we do not repeat a figure we could not check properly.
When you read reviews, look at the date. The fans’ service fee went up from 10% to 15% with the fan terms of 1 October 2025, and the rules on third parties in chat only date from July 2026. Older reviews may describe terms that no longer apply.
Where does Maloum fall short?
Mostly in how consistent its own statements are. The contract, the help centre and the advertising pages give different payout dates and minimums and contradict each other on VAT.
| Check | Finding | Source and date |
|---|---|---|
| Operator | neolime GmbH, Vienna, FN 574724 h | Legal notice, read on 1 October 2026 |
| Creator verification | Official ID via Ondato | Help centre |
| Post review | Every post in advance, usually within minutes | Help centre, April 2025 |
| Fan age checks | 2023: email and date of birth; now verification for adult content | Trending Topics 2023, fan terms July 2026 |
| Third parties in chat | Allowed, with disclosure | Creator contract, July 2026 |
| Payout | Date and minimum contradictory | Contract versus help centre |
| VAT | Advertising claim contradicts the contract | Comparison page, blog July 2026 |
There are also points you should know before you sign up. The OnlyFans comparison page invites cross-promotion between the platforms, yet the contract bans advertising for competing platforms. Maloum takes a right, unlimited in time and territory, to use your uploads in its own advertising (§13.4). Breaches of contract can cost a €500.00 contractual penalty, and Maloum may change the terms with four weeks’ notice. What the contradictions mean for your money is covered in Maloum payouts.
So is Maloum legit overall?
As a platform, Maloum is legit. The operator, management and register entry are open to anyone, the identity check is taken seriously, the content rules are clear, and since July 2026 there are rules on who may write in the chat. The documentation is the weak point: if you are planning with money, go by the contract and get support to confirm any discrepancies in writing.
One risk that does not come from Maloum itself is agencies that recruit creators through Maloum messages or comments, which Maloum explicitly bans. How to spot dubious providers is covered in Maloum agency scams, and what Maloum is in the first place is summed up in what is Maloum.
